Publicity

The project has attracted enthusiastic coverage in local, regional, national and specialist food and farming media. This has included features in British Farmer and Grower, Sunday Telegraph, Regeneration and Renewal magazine and a Radio 4 documentary ÔBreaking GroundÕ broadcast in December 2003.

The publicity attracted the interest of farmers already growing small amounts of Asian speciality crops, or who are interested in doing so. A leaflet outlining the project has been distributed widely through interviews, meetings and relevant events. Audio-visual documentation brings the project to life and includes video footage of crop growing, harvesting and community meetings.
